The Australia-Nepal Mental Health Network was founded in 2013 by a volunteer group of clinicians with extensive experience in the provision of mental health services in Australia. Members of the Network come from a range of professional mental health backgrounds in Australia and in Nepal, including medical, nursing, social work, occupational therapy, and pharmacology.

Our in-country support is managed by Prakash Aryal and his team at Hike Himalayan Adventures

In the villages of Maidi in Dhading our close colleagues include Sujan Shrestha, Manager Primary Health Centre, and Buddhi Man Shrestha, Head Teacher, Maidi.

Much credit is due to many other members of the Network and to family, friends and colleagues as well as clubs such as the Rotary Club of Orange Daybreak who continue to support the Network’s endeavours.

Our home base is the Bloomfield Mental Health Campus in Orange, NSW.
